Why Rural World Impetus?
Rural populations in the Democratic Republic of Congo are caught in a vicious cycle of poverty. The poverty translates to a lack of inspirational sources among youth. This cycle eliminates hope for much of the deprived population.
There is a combination of challenges that causes limitations for these rural populations. For one, there is a serious lack of infrastructure. Small, isolated villages lack practical roads that connect them to urban business centers. Healthcare facilities and schools are lacking as well. The deprivations slow the socioeconomic prospects of rural areas. Distance to commercial centers, lack of better schools, and healthcare centers all remain significant barriers to the development of rural areas.
Consequently, early, and often forced marriages of young girls are very common and maternal and child mortality remain higher. Hence, RWI Inc, is dedicated to address these challenges to unleash the impetus (a force that encourages energetic action) for a better future.
Our Mission
To improve the lives of rural deprived communities in Democratic Republic of Congo through education, health, and economic self-sufficiency.
